Thanksgiving Holiday Set

Our friend Sean planted this vineyard in the heart of Napa with onegoal in mind: to make exquisite single-vineyard Chardonnay wines inOakville. The vineyard spans 32 acres surrounding the estate. Theplantings include Old Wente Clones, as well as Chardonnay Clone809 and Clone 548. This trifecta of Chardonnay vines creates a deepand complex wine. As one of the last vineyards planted toChardonnay in Oakville, this wine is a special treat.

 

The wine was fermented and sur lie aged for 11 months in 27% newFrench oak barrels, 23% neutral oak, and 50% concrete tanks. Theresulting wine has a radiant yellow color with a green hue. Tropicalaromas of mangos and pineapple followed by vanilla cream, lighthoney and bee’s wax. Flavors of white peach and passion fruit withbright acidity finishing with elegance.

It’s this exceptional collaboration that allows us to bring you aPinot Noir of unparalleled quality.

 

Hand harvesting, hand punchdowns, and French oak barrel agingbring out the complexity in this wine. This is a big bodied wine withred cherries and strawberries on the palate, medium tannins, and along fruit driven finish. Jammy and earthy flavors with some wholecluster stem character add complexity to this broad and rich wine.
